Is Britain’s most prolific speed camera – catching more than 40 drivers every day – right here on Canary Wharf's doorstep?

Our exclusive data has pinpointed the cameras that caught the most speeding motorists over the past 12 months.

Top of the list is a camera in the Limehouse Link Tunnel on the westbound carriageway.

It snagged 17,620 motorists in 2014-15 – as many as 48 a day.

The route, which runs between Limehouse and the northern tip of Canary Wharf has a 30mph speed limit, enforced by SpeedCurb speed cameras above the carriageway at the tunnel entrances, exits and inside the tunnel.

In second place was a camera on the M62 in Greater Manchester. Located on the westbound carriageway between junctions 20 and 19, it has caught 11,448 people so far in 2015 – 42 a day.
