An appeal over the whereabouts of a Canary Wharf chef has taken social media by storm.

Senior sous chef Jonny Rothfield works for a private dining company at KPMG but was last seen leaving his home in Stratford on June 15, at around 5am.

His girlfriend, Emma Alter, posted an emotional message on Facebook and said Jonny was without his phone and keys.

UPDATE: Posters released to help #findjonny

It read: "This is completely out of character.

"Wherever you live please please will you repost this for me.

"Someone must have seen him."

Jonny previously worked for Michel Roux Jnr and is a keen sports fan.

He last posted on his Twitter page on June 10 but the social media site is now buzzing with the hashtag #findjonny.

BBC chef Andy Bates re-posted with the message "please look out for him".

A spokeswoman for KPMG said: “Jonny is a popular and well-respected employee of Restaurant Associates, which provides KPMG’s catering services in the UK.

"He has worked as a senior sous chef at our Canary Wharf office for the past two years.

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends as we all hope he is found safe and well soon.”

Anyone who might have seen Jonny should contact Missing Persons on 116 000 or call police on 101.
