A Miss GB hopeful will be strutting her way across London in just a bikini and six-and-a-half inch Christian Louboutin heels.
Katerina Christo is embarking on the eight mile walk to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK after her grandmother’s battle with skin cancer.
The 23-year-old from Chelsea will shimmy from Oxford Street to Canary Wharf - aiming to reach the financial district at rush hour.
She will be accompanied by five other bikini-clad women and five topless male models on her trek - which she has called These Heels Were Made For Walking .
Katerina said: “Originally we were going to hold a fundraising gala but then we thought it would be more fun and more effective in terms of awareness to take it out onto the streets, and we came up with the idea of this walk.
“At university my nickname was “heels” because I was always wearing them so it was my idea to do the walk in my favourite Louboutins. They’re pretty high – probably as high as you can get – so it might be a bit of a challenge.”
The size six model will take part in the walk whatever the weather - spurring herself on by thinking of her grandmother, Kathy Stavrou, from Leicester.
She said: “Thankfully my grandma was able to make a full recovery so this is a good opportunity to give something back for the treatment she had and hopefully help others who are diagnosed in the future.”
Katerina, who studied literature and law at the University of Essex, is currently appearing in Channel Five’s Britain’s Flashiest Families, and has just filmed for both TOWIE and her first film, The Blazing Cannons.
We will be chatting with Katerina later today after her blister-inducing walk - expect poignant questions like how are your feet?
