MCM London Comic Con enjoyed its most successful weekend ever , with a record-breaking 133,156 people attending the three-day pop culture festival.
The figure tops previous records set at both of the 2015 events at the Excel, with 122,600 in May and 130,560 in October.
Alongside a mix of sci-fi, film, TV, online video, comic book, gaming, anime and cosplay content, the showcase hosted Hollywood’s Jesse Eisenberg.
The Oscar-nominated actor is known for portraying Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.
With him were Big Bang Theory stars Kunal Nayyar (Raj) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette).
Jesse and Kunal were taking a break from appearing in Jesse’s play The Spoils at Trafalgar Studios.
Joining them were casts from a legion of sci-fi, superhero and fantasy franchises, including Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D, Agent Carter, 12 Monkeys, Red Dwarf, Arrow, Game of Thrones, Lost Girl, Sleepy Hollow, Being Human and Fringe.
Other attractions included the online video zone featuring top YouTubers The Yogscast, Tomska and Meg Turney.
The expo returns to the Excel on Friday, October 28.
