A man was being treated for serious injuries on Saturday (September 26) after he was stabbed in a suspected gang attack on the Isle of Dogs.

The 21-year-old was found by police near Plevna Street, close to St John’s Park, in the early hours of the morning suffering from stab wounds, and was quickly take to an unnamed east London hospital. His condition is said not be life-threatening.

Detectives from the Trident Gang Crime command are investigating, suggesting that this was a gang-related attack.

A day earlier, in the early hours of Friday morning (September 25) a 24-year-old man was stabbed numerous times in an attack near Bow Church DLR station, Tower Hamlets . His condition was described as “stable”.
