A man was stabbed in the face and neck in Hackney as he rode his hoverboard in Stamford Hill.

The 19-year-old man was riding along the pavement on his hoverboard in Rookwood Road when he was chased by two men.

They followed him down an alleyway close to the junction with Ravensdale Road, where he was stabbed in the face and neck.

The victim was taken to hospital where doctors stated that he was lucky his jugular vein had not been damaged. He has since been discharged.

The two suspects are described as men in their teens or early 20s, and of broadly average height and build. One is believed to be black and the other Asian.

There has been no arrests at this stage and police are keeping “an open mind” about the motivations behind the attack.
