A man in his 20s has died and another man has been injured in an horrific crash on the A13.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash near Barking involving “several vehicles”.
The London Air Ambulance was called to the scene at the junction with Ferry Lane just before 2pm on Wednesday, July 1.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 1.57pm to reports of a road traffic collision on the A13, Ferry Lane.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including two ambulance crews, three responders by car and London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated two patients. One patient, a man, was treated for leg injuries. He was taken to the Royal London Hospital escorted by the doctor from London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, another patient, also a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. No arrests have been made.
