The lineup has been announced for the 10th Canary Wharf Jazz Festival.

London’s largest free jazz festival is making its return to Canada Square Park and will feature headliners Red Snapper on Saturday and Beat and Pieces on Sunday.

Red Snapper have been hailed as one of the most forward thinking and ground breaking bands in the UK with their blend of Afro-jazz, future funk, dub and dark hip-hop.

Since forming in 1994, Red Snapper have worked with the like of The Prodigy, Bjork, Massive Attack, The Fugees, Songhoy Blues and MC DET.

The Sunday headline performance will come from big band Beats and Pieces who make a return to the festival after their show in 2012.

Led by composer and conductor Ben Cottrell, the 14 musicians met as students in Manchester, developing musically both individually and collectively within the city’s scene.

The free festival is set to take place at Canada Square Park on Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21.
