Good Morning Britain reporter Ranvir Singh braved a testosterone-soaked trading floor for the buzz of raising cash for a good cause.
The Lancashire lass said she’d “hot footed it” from an ITV studio to attend BGC’s Charity Day in Canary Wharf before heading back later to record an ITN News show.
She said: “It’s a testosterone-filled area but I’ve been told women seem to have a better overview of things and a more balanced view.
“It’s brilliant – it’s the first time I’ve been asked to come down and I’m raising money for Caudwell Children’s Charity.
“They do an enormous amount of work and have helped 20,000 children to date.
“You get such a buzz here. I can be quite cool about things but I haven’t got a head for maths.
“I will probably start asking the traders how their day is and how their kids are, then pass the phone over to someone who knows what they are doing.”
Ranvir was one of many celebrities at BGC’s Charity Day in Canary Wharf, held in memory of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
