Hundreds of thousands of pounds of cash, cocktails and slot bids remain unclaimed at an East End casino.

Aspers in Stratford is taking safe care of the hefty loot of prizes accrued during the past five weeks of its Jackpot 500 competition.

While the main winner each week scooped £5,000, the host of other goodies meant more East Enders enjoyed the feel-good factor of winning in the free draw.

Although it might be unlucky for some, Friday, November 13, could be the date when fortunes fall on the winners.

Staff are calling on Aspers Loyalty Card members to check their accounts during the final draw, which starts at 9pm.

Marketing manager Debbie Mazs said: “We did the competition after feedback from our customers. Usually you have to be here on the night to take part but for this one they can come in and enter it when their card registers on a machine.

“And people said they would prefer smaller prizes and more winners – and we want more people to win, too.”

She is unsure why some goodies remain up for grabs.

Both SMS and email messages are sent out to all winners though those who have not opted to be contacted by the casino may have missed out on being informed.

She suggested those who have taken part during the past month check the website .
