Greenwich Council's decision to approve a cruise terminal at Enderby Wharf has angered Twitter users.
The authority's Planning Board, which gave the plans the go-ahead on Tuesday, July 21, has come under fire for failing to heed residents' warnings over pollution.
Much fun was also made of the idea wealthy cruise-goers might use local buses to access the terminal, mitigating the expected impact on traffic when it opens.
The plans also include 477 homes, a skills academy, a crèche, and alterations and extensions to Grade II listed Enderby House.
Here's a selection of what people, including Greenwich and Woolwich MP Matthew Pennycook, tweeted after the decision was announced.
