Victoria Park will host a firework display this year after a five-year break.
The pyrotechnic spectacle, which will be set to music, will take place on Saturday, November 7 with a bonfire and food and drink also on offer.
Admission to the event is free and people are encouraged to share pictures on Twitter and Instagram using #fireworksTH.
Mayor of Tower Hamlets John Biggs said: “I’m so glad the fireworks have returned to Victoria Park.
“This means people who live here and those who come to the borough to see this magnificent display can enjoy a display that is much bigger and better.”
Cabinet member for culture cllr Asma Begum said: “The council is famous for its striking firework displays and this year will be extra special as the display is back in Victoria Park.”
The Fireworks Night display is sponsored by developers Barratt London and Berkeley Group and utilities giant Veolia.
