Commuters into Canary Wharf face miserable delays on the roads.

An incident on the westbound Canning Town flyover has caused congestion back to Prince Regents Lane in Newham.

A social media post on Transport for London’s Twitter page said a collision on the westbound section of the A13 route was the cause.

Two lanes of the road have been closed by police.

TfL has warned drivers to expect long delays.

The Twitter post read: “There has been a collision on A13 W/B from Canning Town Flyover slip to Leamouth Rd, expect delays in the area.”

Many Canary Wharf workers heading to the estate from Essex make their journeys on the A13.

Meanwhile those travelling from Canning Town by public transport also face a headache.

The DLR service to Beckton is running with minor delays due to a train fault.
