But until now it's not been clear in what capacity. Well Canary Wharf will be the venue for a £2.9million super clinic.

It will provide health assessments, GP appointments, dental, physiotheraphy and sports technician services all under Crossrail Place's striking roof.

The complex will feature 17 consultation rooms and eight dental surgeries spread over its 8,000sq feet.

Bupa UK managing director Richard Bowden told Cover Magazine : "Understandably people's needs are changing and they want different things from healthcare.

"That is why, over the next three years, we will be investing heavily in our products and services to ensure they meet our customers' needs and help to tackle the UK's biggest healthcare challenges."

Other services available at the Crossrail Place health centre include travel vaccinations and appointments at evenings and weekends.

The super clinic will be open to everyone regardless of whether they have private medical insurance or not.
