Bromley Council has denied it has appealed a court’s decision to award ownership of Henry Moore’s Draped Seated Woman sculpture to neighbouring Tower Hamlets.
At a meeting on Monday, July 20 , Tower Hamlets mayor John Biggs claimed Bromley had made representations to the High Court on the issue.

However, a statement from Bromley said that although it was considering appealing the decision, no such action had yet been taken over the sculpture, dubbed Old Flo.
A Bromley Council spokesman said: “Bromley has given the High Court notice of its intention to potentially appeal.
“It is important to note that we took this action on behalf of all London Councils as part of our responsibilities following the demise of GLC.
“The leader is now effectively consulting fellow London leaders with a view to potentially appealing.”
