A 16-year-old boy will appear in a Stratford Youth Court on Tuesday (November 17) where he will face charges of attempted murder.
A police officer was stabbed in the stomach on Sunday night when he was attending reports of anti-social behaviour in a car park near Bunsen House in Bow. Two PCs went to the scene.
The officer was taken to hospital with what police described as “a serious stab injury to the abdomen”, after the incident at around 11.30pm. His condition is “serious but stable”, the force added.
Reports of anti-social behaviour were received by police, including a moped being ridden near to flats. Nobody else was arrested.
Scotland Yard said there is not believed to be any link to extremism or terrorism.
