Do you commute from Kent? Here’s something that may interest you.

Coach company The Kings Ferry has started up commuter service taking workers from Maidstone to the heart of London’s financial districts for less than £10-a-day.

The Gillingham-based firm will also take passengers from Grove Green and Weavering to Canary Wharf, Fenchurch Street, Millennium Bridge and Embankment.

Cash-conscious commuters can get on board from October 5. But the journey will be far from coach-class with climate control, hot drinks, power sockets and toilets as standard.

The Kings Ferry managing director Ian Fraser said: “Our expertise is built upon almost forty years of business and we hope commuters will enjoy both the quality of the service on offer and the financial savings too. We’re really looking forward to welcoming people on board.”

To launch its new Maidstone service, all new customers will be offered a two week free trial or eight weeks for the price of four. For commuters making the move from the train or other coach services, they can take advantage of their Ticket Trade-in offer. More details can be found on their website .
