Fashion forward east Londoners are switching up their Royal Ascot style.
That’s according to House of CB’s deputy manager Ellis Burr, who believes standing out from the crowd wearing something a little different is a top request for race-goers.
“I feel with Ascot dressing, it’s becoming a bit more modern,” said the 23-year-old.
“People want to try more fashionable styles of dress and be a bit more sexy, in a way.
“So they’ll buy something like a black dress and colour block it with a bright hat or bag - or the opposite, with a bright dress, especially because it’s summer as well.
“With our dresses, they are so different from other stores - they feel so comfortable, even though they are fitted, and they feel like they're holding you in.
“That’s what customers want.”
The trendy store - recently relocated to a new home within Westfield Stratford City - has a cult showbiz following with Nicole Scherzinger, Amber Rose and Kendall Jenner all splashing the cash.
These selections would be perfect for those in the Silver Ring, and also those in the Grandstand, if worn with a jacket.
Royal Ascot runs from June 16 to 20.
1. Stephania, £119.
Why it’s an Ascot hit: “It’s in blue to make it a bit more summery.
“And the material makes people feel good - it feels like it’s going to pull you in and make the figure a nice shape.
“And the banded stripes are in at the moment, especially when they’re in blue.”
Wear with? Choker necklace, nude bag and gold sandals.
2. Savala, £109.
Why it’s an Ascot hit: “It’s a bit more plain, so some customers will tend to go for it because it’s not that out there.
“But it still stands out - you can pick a fascinator in whatever colour and it’s on trend because it’s got the statement waistband.
“It’s a really nice fit and you’ve got the zip at the bottom to give you a bit more room.
“But you can dress it down and up
“It’ not just a one-off either - you could wear it to the office with black court shoes and get your wear out of it.”
Wear with: Pashmina and nude sandals.
3. Mareya, £119, from House of Celeb Boutique’s At The Races Collection
Why it’s an Ascot hit: “It’s got a great profile and fit and it’s over the knee.
“The whole colour block trend is in so this works, with the dark and pale blues, white and black.
“And it does look fitted with a waistband to pull people in.
“It’s a bit more formal, so perhaps for those in their thirties or above.”
Wear with: White heels and pashmina.
