The sweet scents of Crabtree and Evelyn will no longer fill a corner of Canary Wharf.
The chain has closed its doors to its branch, in Cabot Place Mall, and a spokesman said the decision was made following a strategic review which will see up to nine axed across the country.
The spokesman added: "The stores in question are not viable to continue trading, many of which were temporary stores opened on short term leases, in the latter quarter of 2013.
"For Canary Wharf, as with other stores, we are committed to working hard to re-deploy as many of our affected colleagues wherever possible.
"The closures are part of a wider business objective to focus on improving the overall profitability of our store performance and to deliver a better foundation to further progress the Crabtree and Evelyn brand in the UK."
A spokeswoman for Canary Wharf Group said retail space on the estate was "highly sought after".
She said: "We are in discussions with a well-known international brand to move into space that has recently been vacated and will be able to announce this arrival shortly."
The closure comes just days after Barbour International pulled out of the lower level of Jubilee Place Mall.
