Ahead of the opening of the brand’s new studio at Canary Wharf’s Crossrail station next month, we chat to Psycle managing director Rhian Stephenson.

Tell us all about Psycle

It’s a transformative full-body workout on a bike led by inspirational instructors.

Our 45-minute classes combine cardio, high intensity intervals, weights, and choreography that target the core set to epic playlists, a strong community and an exceptional environment to provide an incredible workout experience.

What’s your offering in Canary Wharf going to be like?

We’ll have two state-of-the-art studios and spacious changing rooms with all of the amenities. We’ll be stocking the best brands to make the experience convenient and luxurious – from the hair dryers and straighteners to the shampoo and skincare. Our cafe, The Energy Kitchen, will provide freshly made superfood smoothies, protein shakes and cold pressed juices and freshly prepared meals to go.

High intensity intervals are one of the most effective ways to increase strength and fitness. They have the added benefit of raising the metabolism and burning calories for up to six hours after the session.

It also has a beneficial effect on the mind – it boosts endorphins which helps with energy, concentration, creativity, mood, motivation and happiness.

How long are the sessions?

Our signature class is 45 minutes but we run express 35-minute classes at lunch, and 60 and 90-minute classes for those looking for an extra push.
