If you’re an east Londoner who fancies a similar workout to Psycle - yet away from the Canary Wharf estate - head to Pure Ride .

The swish spinning centre opened in Moorgate two weeks ago with a six-day timetable filled with 45-minute sessions of fast-paced cycling.

It’s intense, fun and has a party-like atmosphere courtesy of thumping beats, passionate instructors and neon lights.

Arms as well as legs will get a workout too with dumbbell weight routines incorporates into the rides.

In Studio One, fitness-fans can burn up to 550calories in a standard session whereas in Studio Two, they can experience Pure Ride Performance, a special programme developed by Olympic cycling ace Sir Chris Hoy.

Sir Chris Hoy

Sir Chris helped to launch the sessions with a meet and greet after he got sweaty in a session in Studio One.

While we can’t promise some celebrity sparkle every time, there are A List worthy cosmetics and body wash all ready to enjoy in the changing rooms afterwards.

Classes cost £20 but there is an offer of one free spin session in January.
