A fitness class for mums is set to launch on the Isle of Dogs.

The Wharf’s fitness guru and personal trainer Laura Williams will host the sessions, which she says are geared towards time-poor mums who want an efficient, effective workout.

Fitter Mums is aimed at helping with everything from regaining that pre-pregnancy shape to boosting energy and fitness levels.

Lasting for 50 minutes, the sessions combine Pilates moves with band, tube and body weight exercises.

Laura said: “I wanted to start a class for mums because there are so many young families and new mums in the area and not everyone has the time or budget for a gym membership or personal trainer.

“I have worked with many pregnant women and new mums over the years and all want to learn effective, short routines and new exercises they can do in the comfort of their own homes without a huge time investment.

“I am hoping to build a lively, friendly and encouraging little fitness community with Fitter Mums.”
