1 Take control
Identify what may be causing stress. Is your workload too much or do you think you’re not good enough? Look at yourself carefully and work out your strengths, then think whether the job you do is the one for you.
2 Work smarter
Use your limited work time better. Are you reacting to your boss’s schedule or should you be suggesting priorities and being affirmative?
3 Build a support network
Meet face-to-face with friends, not just online.
4 Get physical
Exercise can reduce stress and provide me-time. Walk along the river during your lunch hour and focus on what you’re seeing, not what has to be done when you get back.
5 Switch off
Turn off your phones and computers for an hour a day. How about no phones or electronic games on the way to and from the Wharf?
