Meditate in the leafy surroundings of Crossrail Place’s Roof Garden at a free one-off session.
The BeingWell mindfulness centre, based on West India Quay, is hosting a free, two-hour focus on mind health on Saturday, October 17 from 3pm to 5pm.
The event is being held to highlight Social Saturday – a campaign that celebrates the achievements of businesses which make both their staff and the planet a priority.
BeingWell director Dr Sherylin Thompson said mindfulness meditation was centred on bringing the brain back to the present moment.
She said: “Minds are just as impacted by strain, aging and deterioration as our bodies are.
“It is a simple but proven method of keeping your mind fit, flexible and focused. Mindfulness meditation is the equivalent of stretch and tone classes for the mind, which is just as important as maintaining physical fitness.”
