The longest established gym in Canary Wharf has undergone a £2.1million refurbishment ahead of opening to the public.

The Canary Wharf Health Club gym has been upgraded and now boasts an extensive range of the latest cardiovascular technology, free-weights and resistance machinery. The changing rooms have also been modernised.

The club, located next to the Credit Suisse offices in Cabot Square was previously only available for use by employees of the financial services company.

But Nuffield Health is allowing anyone who works on the estate to apply for membership, which includes access to 85 studio classes a week, a 25m swimming pool, three squash courts, a beauty spa and sauna and steam rooms.

Those signing up also get a health MOT assessment every three months, a personalised exercise programme every month and access to physiotherapists and fully qualified personal trainers.
