Hundreds of names cover the surfaces of the four huge discs that hold pride of place above the internal staircases of One Canada Square.

Each name celebrates an artist, composer, writer or architect who has made his mark on the last century.

The rusty circles were created by England-born artist Keith Milow.

The sculptor, painter and printmaker studied at Camberwell School of Art and the Royal College of Art.

Keith Milow first came to significant public attention in the '70s and is frequently described as one of the most important artists of his generation.

He has exhibited widely, undertaken a number of public commissions and taught in Europe and America. Previously based in New York, he now lives in Amsterdam.

Please note that Keith Rand's Orinal Form (1999) links to Keith Milow's Twentieth Century Thames (1998).
