I thought I'd save some money this Easter school holiday by not travelling abroad with Master A.

It's the first time in several years that we've opted to stay at home during the spring break but, with forecasters predicting great weather and a wealth of London attractions hitherto unexplored, I thought we'd give it a go.

Our intern is having girlfriend problems. On Monday, after the normal "what did you do over the weekend" office exchange, he sidled up to me and said: "Amy and I are on a break; she's gone back to her parents."

In my 47-year-old single friend's quest to have a baby she has signed up to have a major MoT - an in-depth well-woman review.

As part of the programme, she will have her fertility measured, hormone levels calculated and blood tested for various deficiencies.

I've come to realise that I dislike children who tell tales.

Fortunately, Master A does not come into this category (it would be a tad awkward if he did), preferring to keep things close to his chest. For which read - not tell me, or anyone, anything.
