Tube strike called off after talks

Successful talks between Tube and union bosses have seen this week's three day strike suspended.

A 72 hour walkout was due to begin on Monday night over plans to close ticket offices across the network.


A tube driver accused of driving a Jubilee line train while drunk has been found dead at his home the day before his trial.

Ian Comfort, 50, reportedly drank almost an entire bottle of vodka while driving the train on March 22.


Tube workers are set to strike for the second time this year in protest to ticket office closures.

Members of the RMT union will strike from 9pm on Monday, April 28 for two days and then from 9pm on Monday, May 5 for three days.


Services on the Jubilee line were hit by severe delays during evening rush hour on Friday after a passenger fell ill.

The incident took place just before 5.30pm at Westminster. The line was closed from Green Park to Waterloo.

Canary Wharf commuters using the Jubilee Line face severe delays this morning, Friday.

The route has suspended its services between Wembley Park and Finchley Road while engineers fix a faulty train at West Hampstead, prompting disruption on the remainder of the line.
