Docklands MP Stephen Timms today welcomed a decision by Ofcom to introduce 4G services ahead of an auction of the airwaves next year.

Mr Timms who was knifed in his constituency surgery is taking part in Carry A Basketball, Not A Blade, an annual tournament organised by the Newham All Star Sports Accademy.

The woman who was convicted of attempting to murder East Ham MP Stephen Timms has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 15 years.

Roshonara Choudhry, 21, pictured here moments before attacking Mr Timms at constituency surgery at the Beckton Globe, had been found guilty by a jury at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
