Paralympian David 'The Weirwolf' Weir, as he became known during the 2012 Games, was in Jubilee Place Mall today to sign copies of his autobiography Weirwolf: The David Weir Story.

The Paralympic Torch will blaze its way through Canary Wharf today, notching up Olympic fever for the second time this summer, on its 24-hour relay to the Stratford arena.

A team of 580 torchbearers from across the country are carrying the flame on its 92-mile adventure from Stoke Mandeville through Greenwich, the Isle of Dogs and onto the final leg to the Olympic Stadium this evening, to mark the official opening of London's Paralympic event.

The council has secured 1,200 tickets for handball and Paralympic goalball. The 700 handball tickets are for the London Prepares event on November 26-27, while the 500 goalball tickets are for the weekend of December 3-4.
