Death of man in Newham being treated as suspicious

A man has died after suffering serious injuries in Greenway, Newham, in an incident being treating as suspicious by police.

Officers were called at around 1.30am on February 24, where a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.


The nine boroughs of east London have agreed to explore the possibility of grabbing powers from central Government and City Hall to create a single voice pressing the concerns of the region.


Plans for a new 220-theatre opposite Theatre Royal Stratford East are on hold.

Dozens of builders were forced to flee the Millennium Mills site after a blaze broke out. Fire and ambulance crews arrived to deal with the incident on Thursday (February 5).

French firm Vinci Stadium, which operates the Stade de France, has been appointed to manage the former Olympic Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The company will begin its 25-year partnership ahead of the Rugby World Cup in the autumn. The stadium will host five games before fully-re-opening in 2016 when its key tenants will be West Ham and UK athletics.
