Owen Coyle and Eddie Howe are the early favourites to take over from Kenny Jackett after he resigned as manager of Millwall, just days before securing safety for the Championship side.

The 51-year-old said he wanted to step aside to give someone else a chance at progressing the south-east London club.

IanToal.jpgDespite drawing both our last two matches, we've had real contrasting emotions coming out of each game.

We initially went down 2-0 in the derby match at Selhurst Park last Saturday against our near neighbours Crystal Palace. So the 2-2 draw that we secured in the end, thanks to the game being turned on it's head with the deliberate handball and sending off of Dean Moxey, was a pretty decent result.

The same happened when we last won a game - at home to Middlesbrough.

We promptly lost the next three matches.

IanToal.jpgLast Saturday's 2-1 win at home to Bolton Wanderers was a massive victory for the Lions.

The game had a proper Millwall atmosphere as the crowd responded to us being on the end of some bad refereeing decisions and the antics of opposition winger and pantomime villain Chris Eagles, spurring us on to victory.

IanToal.jpgMillwall have stopped the rot with two battling points from successive away matches at Burnley and Bristol City.

That's a lot of travelling for both the team and our supporters and, following three successive defeats, it was important we stopped losing and got a few points in the bag.
