Plans to sell an iconic Henry Moore sculpture gifted to the East End remain on-track.

A spokesperson for Tower Hamlets Borough Council, which owns the Draped Seated Woman statue affectionately known as Old Flo, confirmed the authority would soon arrange a timescale for its auction.

After much political debate about the future of Old Flo, the story of how the Henry Moore sculpture came into being has been put on show by a venue striving to preserve her future.

The exhibition at the Museum of London Docklands, entitled Henry Moore And The East End, delves into the story of the Tower Hamlets statue, officially known as Draped Seated Woman, by showcasing a variety of the sculptor's drawings, maquettes and plaster models, as well as bringing visitors up-to-date with its potential sale.

Legal issues of ownership have muddied the waters of the potential sale of Henry Moore's Draped Seated Woman.

Representatives from Bromley Council wrote to Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman, who has vowed to auction off the sculpture, challenging his right to sell the statue affectionately-known as Old Flo.

Labour councillors will demand that Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman puts the sale of the borough's Henry Moore sculpture on-hold, at a motion to be heard next week.

Members say they have identified four potential homes for the Draped Seated Woman, locally known as Old Flo, since the Mayor proposed its auction and are asking for these to be explored.
