Fears that irreparable damage has been done to Greenwich Park during the Olympics have sparked anger among residents and campaigners.


Feelings of elation and exhaustion will centre on Greenwich Park this year as the scenic surroundings play host to an annual running challenge.

For the first time in its history, the Run To The Beat musical half marathon will begin and end at the iconic Olympic venue.

Ticket holders should arrive up to four hours early to this summer's Olympic events in Greenwich Park, organising officials have said.

Up to 50,000 visitors will be attending each day and Locog has outlined ways in which it sees things running smoothly.
