Turn the clocks back 130 years and the rooms of the Gallions Hotel were at the heart of Docklands life, filled with eager passengers from across the globe about to set sail on the liners berthed outside.

This week, the Grade II-listed building in Basin Approach became a bustling hub hosting European guests of a different kind, as it was officially re-opened by Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny yesterday, Tuesday.
