Forde saved Millwall said Charlton keeper Pope

Charlton goalkeeper Nick Pope said his opposite number saved Millwall from late defeat on Saturday.

Addicks striker George Tucudean nearly snatched victory for the hosts in injury-time but agonisingly couldn't get the ball over the line.


Millwall goalkeeper David Forde is just one match away from playing 300 games for the Lions - and full-back Alan Dunne said that's no mean feat.

Dunne, who himself has played 327 games for the club, praised Forde for his longevity with Millwall, saying he's seen many others crumble under the pressure.


There was frustration at a misty Valley on Saturday afternoon as Charlton and Millwall fought out another goalless draw.

A cagey affair saw a late rally from the Lions test goalkeeper Nick Pope on numerous occasions before the Addicks nearly snatched all three points with almost the last kick of the game.

A goal and an assist from striker George Tucudean on his return to the Charlton side saw the Addicks take three points against Bolton on Tuesday night.

The visitors were the dominant team in the match and Charlton were relieved to return to winning ways at The Valley following three home draws.
