In a game dubbed 'The Carlos Tevez match', after the 2006/2007 events which lead to the Hammers' favourite completing the great escape and sending Sheffield United down - but ultimately costing the Londoners £25m - the League One side were looking for revenge.

With the Olympics barely finished Millwall are underway in their 2012/13 season after a penalty shoot-out defeat at home to Crawley Town on Tuesday night.

It was disappointing to exit the competition to a League One side at the first hurdle and the majority of the 3,600 Lions supporters present left the ground less optimistic about the coming season than when they arrived.
