Over recent weeks, the Isle of Dogs has been subject to continuous traffic hold-ups caused by roadworks, in one case resulting from damage to a sewer.

Near Westferry Circus there was a temporary traffic signal next to a bus stop.


Tapas dining by the Thames will no longer be an option for Wharfers after Camino closed its doors at the weekend.

The Spanish restaurant chain, which has delighted diners on Canary Riverside since 2010, shut down service following trading on Sunday.

This will drive a coach and horses through the carefully agreed policy previously enforced around Canary Wharf and is likely to result in a series of unco-ordinated and uninteresting skyscrapers.

Hundreds of loud cars are planning to convene on east London on Saturday night drawing renewed anger from a Tower Hamlets MP.
