West Ham still not safe after Palace defeat

West Ham's troubles are still not over as the Hammers were on the end of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at Upton Park on Saturday.

The Hammers failed to break down Pulis' miserly side who have conceded fewer goals in his 23 games in charge than they did in the previous 12.

Winger Matt Jarvis said he should have been cleverer in an attempt to reward West Ham with a penalty, after the Hammers lost 3-1 at the hands of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Nippy winger, Jarvis appeared to be clipped by right back Bacary Sagna earlier in the first half. However, the £11m signing from Wolves stayed on his feet and the game carried on.


West Ham were outclassed by a slick Arsenal side as the Gunners were 3-1 victors over the Hammers at The Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Manager, Sam Allardyce was pleased with the performance of his side; however, the former Bolton gaffer said it counts for nothing when you lose.

It was no merry trip to the seaside for Charlton as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of promotion-chasing Brighton.

Saturday's result leaves the Addicks just one point from the relegation zone, though with two games in hand over local rivals Millwall in 22nd place.
