Sam Allardyce's West Ham let a lead slip again to Arsenal as they were beaten 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Arsenal are now unbeaten against West Ham in 12 games, winning their last six against the East Londoners.


On the back of West Ham latest victory against Hull City, on loan centre back Roger Johnson expressed his delight at getting some vital playing time, having not featured since the 3-1 loss at home at the hands of Newcastle United on 18th January.

Johnson replaced James Collins after eight minutes on Wednesday evening, with the Welshman being forced off with a calf strain.


The Hammers' Mr Consistent Mark Noble said it's been 'one of the freakiest seasons' he's been involved in, but insists a top ten finish is still a realistic target.

Noble has been there to steady the ship at difficult times in this campaign. And he says the belief is there that they can escape relegation.


Wayne Rooney inspired Manchester United to a comfortable 2-0 victory at the Boleyn Ground in the late kick-off on Saturday.

It was West Ham's third consecutive defeat after losses away at Everton and Stoke City. And that followed the Hammers' four straight wins in February.

Manager Sam Allardyce has praised the recent performances of captain Kevin Nolan, after a 3-1 victory over Southampton at the Boleyn Ground saw them notch their fourth consecutive win.

Big Sam said Nolan, who has now scored five goals in four games, has recovered from 'one of the lowest points of his career' after dismissals against Liverpool and Fulham.
