It was important for us to get a result down at Southampton in the FA Cup Replay last Tuesday.

To win 3-2 after being 2-1 down was the sort of comeback that has been few and far between for us.

The defeat at Upton Park was an extremely disappointing result. To have West Ham down to 10 men after just nine minutes of the game after a crude challenge by Kevin Nolan on Jack Smith meant the West Ham captain would play no further part in the game.

So much for the FA cup providing a welcome distraction from our poor league form.

A 0-0 draw against League Two strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge didn't provide the team with the boost in confidence we were hoping a relatively easy tie would give.

We are definitely in a relegation battle now after our defeat at Ashton Gate against fellow strugglers Bristol City last night.

It's amazing how quickly things change. On Boxing Day we beat Portsmouth by a single goal in a close game.

The defeat at Blackpool on Saturday brought Millwall supporters back down to Earth.
After three successive wins, scoring 10 goals, we were flying up the table and there was even talk of us not being a million miles away from the teams occupying the play-off positions.
