Transport for London is planning to close nearly all Underground ticket offices, including Canary Wharf, as the world uses Oysters and other contactless tickets.

It says there will still be staff on stations to assist passengers and few of us will notice the difference.

A tiny earthquake happened last week - Stratford station is moving from Zone 3 to Zone 2/3.

You may wonder why I describe it as an earthquake. The answer is simple - during my lifetime, the "centre" of London has been moving east.

The Emirates Air Line is to close for seven days later this month for "essential annual works".

The engineering works will run from March 17 to 23 and will include electric testing, weight testing and wheel inspection.

Tower Hamlets, Greenwich and Newham will take a slice of the Mayor of London's annual £148million pot for transport improvements across east London.

While the cash is allocated by Transport for London (TfL), individual boroughs choose their priorities.

00jul17transport1.JPGThe Jubilee line is experiencing severe delays along the whole of the line due to a trespasser on the track earlier. Transport for London said the line is now back up and running but with severe delays during rush-hour. Tickets valid on local buses.

The Metropolitan line is also experiencing problems with no service between Aldgate and Baker Street and severe delays on the rest of the line due to the trespasser.
