Charlton manager Chris Powell was happy to take a point at Peterborough on Tuesday night.

The Addicks came from behind to take a 2-1 lead against their relegation-threatened rivals, only to be thwarted by a second-half equaliser.

Chris Powell's men saw off bottom of the table Peterborough with a late double at The Valley on Tuesday night.

It was the Addicks fourth win in five games but it was made difficult by the visitors who put on a spirited display.

The 3-0 win at London Road, Peterborough, on Tuesday night was a much-needed result to extend the gap between us and the bottom three as well as provide the team and supporters with a boost in confidence.

Charlton striker Pawel Abbott said he was inspired to help Charlton to victory on Saturday after labelling his last performance at The Valley an embarrassment.

The 28-year-old came off the bench against Peterborough and scored what proved to be the winner.

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson has urged his side not to get carried away after they won their fourth league game in a row with a thumping of Peterborough.

Lee Martin and Johnnie Jackson got two each and Therry Racon also scored to push the Addicks up to second in the table.
