After Saturday's disastrous home defeat against 10-man Huddersfield Town we simply had to go to St Andrew's and win against Birmingham City on Tuesday night.

Before this week, we had not won at St Andrew's for 47 years so, after Saturday's second half performance, I didn't think we had a prayer.


1. Neil Harris
The Lions legend is in temporary charge of the club. Unlike Steve Lomas, Harris is Millwall through and through, brought back to the club by the sacked Scot to bolster his credentials with fans. Den legend Harris is the club's record goalscorer. He's ruled himself out but a good run as caretaker could make the appointment irresistible.

With the international week upon us there have been no league matches so we have been able to bask both in our recent upturn in form and in the anticipation of our cup FA Cup semi-final.

Ticket allocations for the game - on Saturday, April 13, against Wigan Athletic - have been revealed and have been on sale to season-ticket holders since Saturday.

Saturday's win away at Middlesbrough was a hugely important victory for the Lions.

With five successive league defeats we had been slipping alarmingly towards a relegation dogfight for some time and desperately needed a result to arrest that decline.

Our unbeaten run now extends to an impressive 9 games thanks to a close 2-1 home victory over Derby County at The Den last Saturday. We had to cope with a few key players missing, including top scorer Darius Henderson and in-form winger James Henry, who both picked up hamstring injuries in the previous match at Watford.
