Chris Powell's side shocked Reading on Tuesday night when their second XI comfortably overcome the Championship side.

The Addicks put out a completely different team to the one which drew with Scunthorpe in the league on Saturday and Powell admitted he now has some tough decisions to make after the fringe players entertained fans on their way to a 2-1 win.

ALAN Pardew was left fuming after Charlton crashed out of the League Cup at the first hurdle with a defeat against Yeovil Town.

The Addicks were on top for most of the game against the injury-hit Division One side but lost out to a first half goal from Paul Warne.
