Win over Hull sees West Ham ease relegation fears

West Ham ended a run of three straight defeats to defeat a ten man Hull City 2-1 at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday evening.

With both teams languishing on the cusp of a relegation fight, a win for either side was pivotal.

Saturday's 1-0 home defeat inflicted by Hull City split our supporters' opinions down the middle.

As I left the ground I heard many people saying how rubbish we were.

Charlton remain unbeaten after three games in the Championship but failed to break down Hull in a rain drenched match at The Valley.

And it was the side from the Humber who would have snatched the victory but for some wasteful finishing at the death.
