There may still be legal challenges but West Ham's move to the Olympic stadium is good news. Many months of uncertainty have come to an end, we can plan for the future and, although we will never get all the money back, the risk of a major white elephant has gone.

The Olympics have, I think, been a spectacular success and, as I write, the Paralympics are underway, with an impressive opening ceremony and hopes of continuing those achievements.
And most of my constituents, while clearly inconvenienced with bursting trains and congested roads, have not seen the catastrophic gridlock some feared.

In common with so many people, I am finding it just a little bit difficult to acclimatise now that the great London Olympic Games has finally ended.
Of course we still have the Paralympics but right now I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of those in our borough who did so much to make the Games the success they have been.
Three men, aged 18, 24, and 26, were arrested in early morning terror raids in Newham, just miles from the Olympic stadium.
Two other men and a woman were also held in operations that police say are not directly linked to the Games but part of a wider tightening of security. The terror alert level remains at "substantial".
Alex Loukos, from Newham, is 19 now but he can still represent the youth of London, a role he first undertook in 2006 when he went to Singapore to support London's bid for the Olympic Games.
He had all the credentials - the son of a Greek immigrant born in a downtrodden borough - he could encapsulate the hope, the inclusivity and the legacy of the 2012 dreams.
