Saturday lunchtime's 1-0 home triumph against Cardiff City live on TV was our first since August 30 and was long overdue. The Championship is a tough league for a club our size to compete in, especially without the parachute payments other clubs are getting.

Two points from two matches this week is hardly the form to take us away from the bottom of the table, but at least they are encouraging results and signs that things might just be about to turn for the team.

I would have snapped your hand off for a point before the game against Derby. They had the chance to go top-of-the-league, but we spoilt that by putting in a hard-working display and arresting our decline just a little bit before the International break.

After a couple of consecutive defeats we had to stop the rot against table-topping Nottingham Forest for their visit to The Den on Saturday.

It was a nil-nil draw but we didn't shut-up shop and aim to repel the opposition. We were the team on top for the majority of the match.

Millwall's great start to the season continued with our first away win of the season at Craven Cottage on Saturday. A massive away following of something like 6,000 witnessed a 1-0 win, as we kept out third clean sheet of the season and Martyn Woolford got the winner.
