With 45 days to go to the Olympic Games, artistic director Danny Boyle has paid tribute to the 10,000 volunteers, cast and crew rehearsing night and day to make the Opening Ceremony a success.

The announcement was made this morning by artistic director Danny Boyle at an event to mark the start of the six-month countdown to the event.
