Tower Hamlets

The east London borough of Tower Hamlets is a blend of contradictions and juxtapositions. Traditional East End homes, marked by pockets of poverty, sit next to the gleaming towers of Canary Wharf. Over the years, the borough has absorbed many immigrant communities and now is a centre for British Bangladeshis with Brick Lane famous for its curry and culture.
